Description

The Arcus is a 2m white aluminium LED profile cover with a 16x15mm cross-section, designed to clip over LED strip installations to diffuse the light output and protect the strip from dust and contact. The cover sits within a compatible aluminium channel (sold separately) and acts as both a diffuser and a protective lens over the LED tape.

Used in residential, retail and commercial lighting installations where LED strip is recessed into joinery, shelving, under cabinets or along architectural reveals, the Arcus cover turns individual LED points into a continuous line of light. The white finish provides moderate diffusion, softening the visibility of individual diodes without significantly reducing light output. The 2m length can be cut to size on site using a fine-tooth saw or scored and snapped at the required point.

The aluminium construction conducts heat away from the LED strip, helping to manage operating temperatures and extend the life of the installation. The cover weighs approximately 180g per 2m length, making it straightforward to handle during fitting. The 16mm width and 15mm depth suit most standard LED strip profiles in the 12-15mm range, though compatibility should be confirmed against the specific channel being used.

Does this cover include the aluminium channel?

No. The Arcus cover is sold separately from the aluminium channel that holds it. You will need to purchase a compatible LED profile channel to mount the LED strip and secure this cover.

Can it be cut to length?

Yes. The 2m cover can be cut to the required length using a fine-tooth saw or by scoring and snapping at the cut point. Deburr the cut edge with fine sandpaper before fitting.

What level of diffusion does it provide?

The white finish provides moderate diffusion, softening the appearance of individual LED diodes to create a more continuous line of light. It reduces but does not eliminate the visibility of LED hotspots at close range.

Is it compatible with all LED strip widths?

The 16mm internal width suits most standard LED strip installations in the 10-14mm range. Check the width of your LED strip and the internal dimensions of your chosen aluminium channel before ordering to confirm fit.
