Description

The Arclight is a 90mm diameter cylinder pendant with an integrated LED light source and a matt black plastic body. The cylindrical shade houses a fixed-direction LED that casts 3000K warm white light downwards, making it a directional fitting rather than ambient. The 140mm height and narrow profile suit single installation above counters or in multiples along a kitchen island or hallway.

Designed for kitchens, workspaces, hallways and corridors where focused task lighting is needed, the Arclight works as a single fitting above a sink or prep area, or in clusters of three or five along a run of cabinets. The 6000mm cable length allows installation at ceiling heights from 2.4m to 5m, with the excess cable concealed inside the ceiling void. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor zones only.

The matt black plastic body weighs substantially less than metal equivalents, simplifying ceiling load requirements and making the fitting suitable for older plaster ceilings where heavier metal pendants might need additional support. The cylindrical form directs light into a narrow beam, so spacing between multiple Arclights typically needs to be 600-800mm to avoid dark gaps on worktops below. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and non-replaceable, with a rated lifespan typical of commercial-grade LEDs.

No. The Arclight uses an integrated LED module that is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for commercial-grade lifespan, and Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering failure during normal use.

Can it be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED is not dimmable. Installing this pendant on a dimmer circuit may cause flickering or damage to the LED driver.

What spacing works for multiple pendants?

The cylindrical shade directs light downwards in a narrow beam. When installing multiple Arclights in a row, spacing them 600-800mm apart typically provides even coverage on worktops or counters below without dark gaps.

Where can it be installed?

The IP20 rating restricts the Arclight to dry indoor zones only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, outdoor covered areas, or anywhere exposed to moisture.
