Arcena Round LED Pendant Light - Dimmable, 3000K, Black, 150cm

The Arcena is a 1500mm diameter circular LED pendant light built around a matt black metal ring with a 25mm profile depth. An integrated dimmable LED strip runs inside the perimeter of the ring, directing 3000K warm white light both upwards and downwards to create ambient wash lighting on ceilings and floors. The 2500mm cable drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the ring to be positioned at the height needed for the specific room.

Designed for open-plan spaces, dining areas, kitchen islands and office reception zones where the suspended ring acts as a visual anchor point, the Arcena provides functional ambient light rather than directed task lighting. The 1500mm diameter suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above and floor areas from 20m² upwards. The dimmable function allows output to be reduced for evening use or increased for daytime workspace needs, controlled via a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer on the circuit.

The matt black finish on the metal ring absorbs reflections rather than creating glare, making the fitting sit quietly in the space when viewed from below. The ultra-slim 25mm depth means the ring presents as a defined line rather than a mass, keeping the visual weight low despite the 1.5m diameter. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations. The integrated LED eliminates bulb replacement and provides a consistent light output across the full 1500mm circumference.

Designed and manufactured by Ideal Lux in Italy, the Arcena carries a 5-year warranty. The fitting is supplied with a ceiling rose and suspension cable rated for UK 230V mains installation. The ring is formed from a single continuous piece of extruded aluminium, powder-coated in matt black, with no visible joints or seams along the circumference.

Is the Arcena dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED is dimmable and requires a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer on the circuit. Most modern LED dimmers from Knightsbridge, Varilight and similar brands will work, but confirm compatibility with the manufacturer before installation.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2500mm adjustable cable drop suits ceiling heights from 2.7m upwards. For rooms with 2.4m ceilings the cable can be shortened during installation, but the 1500mm ring diameter may dominate smaller spaces. This fitting works best in rooms with floor areas of 20m² or larger.

Does it provide enough light for a dining table?

The Arcena provides ambient wash lighting on ceilings and floors rather than directed downlight onto a table surface. It works as atmospheric lighting over a dining table but may need to be paired with additional spotlights or downlights if task lighting is needed for reading or detailed work at the table.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED is integrated into the ring structure and cannot be replaced separately. Ideal Lux LED fittings typically have a rated lifespan of 30,000-50,000 hours, which translates to 15-25 years of typical domestic use before output degrades noticeably.
