Description

The Arcena is a 70cm diameter circular LED pendant light built around a single continuous aluminium ring housing an integrated dimmable LED strip. The matt black finish covers both the outer and inner surfaces of the ring, which measures 25mm in profile depth, creating a thin floating hoop when suspended. The integrated LED runs at 3000K colour temperature, casting warm white light both downward and upward from the ring.

Designed for contemporary offices, dining areas, kitchen islands and open-plan living spaces, the Arcena provides even ambient light across a wide area without a visible bulb or lamp head. The 2500mm suspension cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the ring to be set 600-900mm above a table surface or 2000-2300mm above floor level for higher ambient wash. The dimmable driver integrates with standard trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmers, allowing brightness to be adjusted from full output down to 10-15% for evening use.

The matt black aluminium ring construction keeps the visual presence minimal while the 70cm diameter provides enough light spread to cover a 1.6-1.8m dining table or a 2m kitchen island as a single fixture. The IP20 rating confines use to dry indoor spaces, so the Arcena is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor installation. The integrated LED carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux and is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation before noticeable depreciation.

Yes, the integrated LED driver is dimmable. The fixture works with standard trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmers rated for LED loads. Confirm dimmer compatibility with your electrician during installation, as some older rotary dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs may cause flicker.

What ceiling height is needed for installation above a dining table?

For a typical dining table the ring sits 700-800mm above the table surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m. The 2500mm cable can be shortened during installation to suit lower ceilings or lengthened with an extension kit for higher spaces.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Arcena is only suitable for dry indoor locations. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or any space where moisture or water spray is present.
