Arbo Dark is a frameless wall mirror with an irregular outline, made from printed and mirrored glass so the face carries the look of a cross-cut section of timber. It measures 101cm wide by 98cm high and sits only 2.5cm deep, which means it reads as a panel laid on the wall rather than a framed object hung from it. The print runs across the whole face rather than sitting inside a border, and because there is no surround the glass edge itself is the finished edge of the piece. The outline follows the shape of the printed section rather than being cut to a circle or a rectangle.

It suits a hallway, a living room or a bathroom, and it is rated bathroom proof, so steam and humidity are not a problem for it. At 9KG it wants two people to position safely, though it is not heavy for its size, and the shallow depth helps in a narrow space such as a landing or a corridor where a deeper frame would be in the way. Two screws, each with a washer and a wall plug, are supplied for fixing it, and it arrives ready to hang with nothing to assemble first.

The face is printed and mirrored glass throughout, made in Belgium, and we cover it for seven years. Where a stocked size does not fit the wall, the same treatment can be made to order from 25 pieces. It sits well beside plain mirrors from the same range, where you want one piece to carry a pattern and the rest of the wall to stay quiet, and it holds a wall perfectly well on its own.
