Description

The Arabesque is a 584mm diameter drum chandelier with four E27 fittings housed inside an ivory linen shade, surrounded by a laser-cut metal frame finished in silver leaf patina. The metal frame features Arabic-inspired scrollwork cut into a cylindrical cage that wraps around the linen drum, with a glass diffuser fitted to the base to spread light downward and prevent direct bulb glare.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Arabesque hangs on an adjustable rod that can be shortened during installation to drops between 808mm and 2158mm. The 718mm fitting height from canopy to bottom of shade suits positioning over a dining table 700-900mm below the fitting, or as a centrepiece in a double-height hall where the full drop can be used. The four bulbs are sold separately and accept any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament up to 60W each.

The silver leaf patina finish on the metalwork provides a mid-tone between bright polished silver and aged pewter, showing subtle tonal variation across the surface that shifts under changing light conditions. The laser-cut scrollwork casts shadow patterns onto the linen shade and surrounding walls when lit, adding decorative layering beyond the direct task of illumination. The combination of metal frame, fabric drum and glass diffuser gives the fitting a total weight that requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or reinforced rose.

What bulbs does it take?

The Arabesque takes four E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living spaces.

Is the drop adjustable?

Yes. The chandelier ships with a rod that can be shortened during installation to any drop between 808mm and 2158mm, allowing it to be set at the correct height above a dining table or scaled to suit the ceiling height of the room.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. Most dimmable E27 LED bulbs will work with standard trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmers, but check the bulb specification before pairing with a dimmer switch.

What ceiling fixing is required?

The combined weight of the metal frame, linen shade, glass diffuser and four bulbs requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or reinforced ceiling rose. The ceiling canopy is 140mm diameter and conceals the fixing point and cable entry.
