Description

The Ara is a twin wall light in brass and glass: two glass shades sit either side of a round wall plate, each holding its own bulb and pointing out to one side. It is 12cm tall and 40cm long, and it stands 14cm out from the wall. We offer it in seven finishes, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass, Matt Black, White, Polished Brass and Satin Brass, with Clear or Opal glass. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes two E27 bulbs, up to 6.5W per bulb (LED). With no bulbs in the box, you are free to choose the LED bulbs you like within that limit.

Rated IP65, it suits a bathroom as well as a bedroom, a dining room or a living room. A pair either side of a bathroom mirror, or one over a bed or a sideboard, makes good use of its long, low shape. Antique Brass and Antique Silver have a worn, lived in look that sits well with painted panelling or old floorboards, while Polished Brass and Satin Brass bring more shine, and Matt Black or White stays quiet against a plain wall. Choose Clear glass to see the bulb through it, or Opal for a milkier look.

Each light is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass with glass shades. The painted finishes are Matt Black RAL 9005 and White RAL 9010, handy if you want to match a door, a skirting board or a paint chart. It is a mains fitting for a qualified electrician to install. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered. Settle on your finish and glass together when you order, and measure your wall first, allowing 40cm along it and 14cm out from it.
