Description

The Aquarius is a flush ceiling light with a wide, shallow ribbed glass shade held close beneath a round brass ceiling mount. Fine ribs run from the narrow neck of the shade out to its broad rim, so the glass catches the light of the bulb and carries it right across the shade. It is made of brass and glass, and it measures 25cm tall and 40cm across, a generous size for a room that wants one good central light without a pendant hanging down. It takes one E27 bulb, and bulbs are sold separately: fit an LED bulb of up to 6.5W.

Its IP65 rating is what makes it so useful. It suits a bathroom, where steam and damp rule out many ceiling lights, and it is just as much at home in a hallway, where the broad shade lights the way from the front door. It comes in Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass, Matt Black, White and Satin Brass. The shade comes in Clear or Opal glass, so you can pair the finish you like with the glass that suits the room. The brass finishes sit well with traditional tiling and painted panelling, while Matt Black and White keep things crisp and simple.

The body is brass, and Matt Black is painted to RAL 9005 and White to RAL 9010, which helps if you are matching other painted fittings in the room. Every light is made to order for you in Ireland. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered.
