Description

The Aquarius is a flush ceiling light with a wide, flared ribbed glass shade that sits close beneath a round ceiling plate and holds a single bulb. Made of brass and glass, it is 23cm tall and 30cm across, so it gives a generous spread of glass while keeping close to the ceiling. It comes in seven finishes: Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass, Matt Black, White and Satin Brass. The glass comes in Clear or Opal, so you can pick the metal and the glass to suit the room. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb, up to 6.5W per bulb (LED).

Rated IP65, the Aquarius suits a bathroom as well as a hallway. That makes it a practical choice where you want the same light in both. Because it sits flush, it works well where a pendant would hang too low, such as a hallway or bathroom with a modest ceiling height. The ribbed glass gives the shade fine vertical lines that read well against a plain ceiling. The brass finishes bring warmth to a period or traditional room, while Antique Silver, Matt Black and White suit a cooler or more pared back scheme.

Matt Black and White are the two painted finishes, in Matt Black RAL 9005 and White RAL 9010. That is useful if you are matching other paintwork or fittings. Every light is made to order for you in Ireland. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. It is wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install.
