Description
The Apoch is a flush ceiling light with an open wire cage around a single bulb, so the bulb shows through and becomes part of the look. It sits close to the ceiling on a round ceiling plate, with a short stem and lampholder above the cage, and it is 20.5cm tall and 10cm across. It is made from brass and steel and comes in two finishes, Antique Silver or Antique Brass. The cage is bronze, except on the Antique Silver version, where it is black. It takes one E27 bulb, up to 60W per bulb, and bulbs are sold separately, so you can choose one to suit the room.
As a flush fitting it keeps its light up against the ceiling rather than hanging down into the room, which makes it a good choice for a hallway, where you want light overhead and clear space below it. At 10cm across it is compact, and two or three along a longer hallway give a consistent look from one end to the other. The Antique Silver finish with its black cage has a cooler, more graphic feel; the Antique Brass finish with its bronze cage suits a room where warmer metal tones sit well. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, indoors.
Every light is made to order for you in Ireland from brass and steel. It is a Class I fitting and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered by that guarantee. One practical note: have your E27 bulb, no more than 60W, ready before the electrician arrives, so the light is working the moment it is fitted. Our photographs show the Antique Silver finish.
