Description

A single antique gold Christmas bauble in hand-blown glass, 6cm tall and 4cm across, finished with an antique sari tie at the neck. The glass carries a lustre finish that catches candlelight and fairy lights rather than reflecting them flatly, and each sari tie is cut from different cloth, so the fabric at the top of yours will not match anyone else's.

One bauble is supplied. Buying singly is worth doing when you are filling gaps on a tree that is already dressed, or when you want two or three tones through a garland rather than a matched set. At 190g it is light enough for an outer branch, though the tie is fabric rather than wire, so it wants a branch that will hold a loop.

The glass is recycled. Scrap is gathered, cleaned of impurities, crushed and melted, then either blown by hand or dropped into a mould in India, which is why the tone shifts a little from one bauble to the next. Each is finished by hand by skilled artisans, with the antique sari tie added at the neck.
