Description

We stock the Antic as a four light pendant with four ribbed amber glass shades suspended from a pair of intersecting gold arches on a rectangular gold ceiling plate. Each shade hangs from a sphere at the base of an arch and takes an E27 bulb (sold separately) up to 40W per fitting, so 160W across all four. The metal frame carries a gold finish and the ribbed glass diffuses the light from the bulbs inside, softening the output and reducing direct glare when you look towards it from a seat.

We think it works best over a dining table, a kitchen island or a long console, where the four light sources spread along the horizontal run of the double arch suit the proportions of the furniture below. Because the arches cross at the centre, the two outer shades sit slightly lower than the two inner ones, which gives the piece some rhythm while keeping the light spread even across the surface.

The Antic is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor use only and should not go in a bathroom zone or anywhere exposed to moisture. It runs on 220 to 240V 50Hz AC mains and is not dimmable. Bulbs are not included, so you will need four E27 bulbs to suit the look and brightness you want, and we would suggest a warm white for dining and living spaces.
