Angus Stag Table Lamp Oval Hessian Shade - Bronze Patina

The Angus is an 800mm table lamp built around a life-sized resin stag sculpture finished in bronze patina, paired with a 460mm oval natural hessian shade. The stag stands alert on a rocky base with antlers extending upward, the lamp rod rising vertically from the back. The E27 bulb sits inside the hessian shade, casting warm light through the laminated fabric while the bronze-finished sculpture remains the dominant visual element.

Designed for console tables, sideboards and larger side tables in living rooms, entrance halls and offices, the Angus requires a surface depth of at least 300mm to accommodate the stag's forward stance. The bronze patina finish shows variation in tone across the sculpture, with darker recesses in the antler detail and chest fur contrasting against lighter bronze highlights on the flanks and haunches. This tonal variation is characteristic of the hand-applied patina process rather than uniform factory coating.

The resin base weighs approximately 3kg and stands 530mm tall before the shade is added, giving the lamp a low centre of gravity. The oval hessian shade measures 460mm wide by 295mm deep, providing enough width to balance the stag's antler spread without overwhelming the silhouette. The natural hessian shows slight weave variation and small flecks of darker fibre typical of jute-blend fabric. The shade is not lined, so the weave remains visible when the lamp is lit.

The lamp accepts any E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 40W (sold separately). Most users pair the Angus with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-8W and 2700K-3000K to avoid the hessian appearing washed-out under cool daylight tones.
