Description

Anellara hangs a dark ring from fine cables and mounts blocks of natural Spanish alabaster around it, each one set at its own angle so the stone radiates outward and downward rather than sitting flat. This is the wider of the two rings at 800mm across and 150mm deep, which spreads the same arrangement over a broader circle and leaves more space between the blocks. The ring is finished black, which throws the pale stone forward instead of competing with it.

An integrated LED gives 45W at 4000K, a cool white rather than the warm 3000K used across most of this range. That colour holds the grey in the alabaster instead of pushing it amber, which suits the black frame and keeps the whole fitting crisp. At 800mm it centres over a large round table or a wide island, where the 600mm version would look undersized, and the extra diameter spreads the light over a correspondingly wider pool.

The ring and its fittings are brass beneath the black finish and every block is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining runs differently through each and no two fittings are alike. Rated IP20 for interior use. Anellara also comes as a 600mm ring and as a 1000mm linear bar, so a dining table and the run of a kitchen island can be lit from the same family without repeating the same object twice. The cables are set at equal spacing around the ring, so it hangs level however the blocks are arranged.

How does it differ from the 600mm version?

The arrangement is the same but spread over a wider circle. At 800mm there is more space between the alabaster blocks and the light falls over a broader pool, which suits a large round table or a wide island.

Why is this one a cooler white than the rest of the range?

It runs at 4000K where most of our alabaster fittings are 3000K. The cooler tone holds the grey in the stone rather than pushing it amber, which is what suits the black ring.

Does every fitting look the same?

No. Each block is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining and translucency are unique to the piece, and the blocks on one ring will not match each other exactly.

Can I replace the LED?

No. The LED is integrated rather than a separate lamp, so there is no bulb to change and none is supplied.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which covers dry interior locations only, so it should not be installed in a bathroom zone or anywhere it may meet moisture.
