Description
Where the rest of Anellara works as a ring, this one is a single straight bar of natural Spanish alabaster, 1000mm long, hung horizontally on two fine cables from a black drum canopy. The stone is cut as one continuous length rather than assembled from blocks, so the veining runs unbroken from end to end and the fitting reads as a solid line of light rather than a row of separate pieces. Slim brass ferrules mark where the cables meet the bar.
An integrated LED gives 40W at 4000K, a cool white rather than the warm 3000K used across most of this range, which holds the grey in the stone instead of pushing it amber. The light leaves along the full length of the bar rather than from a point, so it lays an even band across whatever sits beneath it. That is what makes it a working light over an island or a long table rather than a decorative one.
The canopy and ferrules are black and brass, and the bar is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining is unique to the block it came from and no two are alike. The cables give a 1500mm drop before any adjustment at installation. Rated IP20 for interior use. Anellara also comes as a 600mm and an 800mm ring, so a table and an island can be lit from one family without repeating the same object. The bar is fixed at two points rather than one, so it stays horizontal along its full length.

Frequently Asked
Is the bar one piece of stone?
Yes. It is cut as a single continuous length rather than assembled from blocks, which is why the veining runs unbroken from one end to the other.
How does it differ from the Anellara rings?
The rings mount separate blocks of alabaster around a circle. This one is a straight bar and lays an even band of light along its length, which suits an island or a long table rather than a round one.
Why is it a cooler white than most of the range?
It runs at 4000K where most of our alabaster fittings are 3000K. The cooler tone holds the grey in the stone rather than pushing it amber, which is what suits the black canopy.
How far does it hang?
The cables give a 1500mm drop from the canopy before any adjustment at installation, so it can be set high over a walkway or low over a table.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which covers dry interior locations only, so it should not be installed in a bathroom zone or anywhere it may meet moisture.
