Andrea 19cm 1 Light Crystal Pendant Light - Satin Nickel

The Andrea is a 19cm pendant light built around a dome-shaped satin nickel shade with a band of cut crystal wrapped around its widest point. A single E27 bulb inside the dome directs light downward through the open base, while the crystal band catches and refracts that light outward, adding ambient sparkle to the focused task illumination below.

Designed for hallway clusters, bedside positions, kitchen islands and dining tables where a single compact pendant is needed, the Andrea works in ceiling heights from 2.4m upward. The adjustable cable drop runs from 350mm minimum to 1850mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set anywhere from just below ceiling level to 700-800mm above a worktop depending on room height and use. The 19cm diameter keeps the fitting compact enough to group in multiples without crowding.

The satin nickel finish on the dome provides a brushed metallic surface that softens reflections and pairs with cooler-toned interiors, stainless steel appliances and chrome bathroom fittings. The crystal band is faceted rather than smooth, so each crystal section catches light at different angles and throws refracted spots onto nearby walls when the pendant is lit. The dome itself weighs 0.9kg and fits standard UK ceiling roses.

What bulb does the Andrea take?

The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, or a cooler 4000K if used as task lighting over a kitchen worktop.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use a dimmable E27 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself has no electronic components that would prevent dimming.

Can multiple Andrea pendants be grouped together?

Yes. The 19cm diameter is compact enough to hang two or three Andrea pendants in a row over a kitchen island or dining table without them visually crowding each other. Space them 400-600mm apart centre-to-centre for balanced coverage.

How is the crystal band cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulb to cool. Wipe the crystal facets with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid spraying liquid directly onto the fitting or letting moisture reach the bulb holder inside the dome.
