Andrea 19cm 1 Light Crystal Pendant Light - Antique Brass

The Andrea is a 19cm spherical pendant light combining an antique brass metal globe with a central band of clear cut crystal facets. A single E27 bulb fitting sits inside the sphere, directing light downward through the base while the crystal band disperses refracted light around the centre line of the fitting. The antique brass finish is lightly aged to show tonal variation across the curved surface, contrasting with the sharp-cut clarity of the crystal.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and hallway positions where a compact decorative pendant provides both task and accent lighting. The 190mm diameter works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upward, with the drop adjustable between 350mm and 1850mm on installation to suit different ceiling heights and table positions. Multiple Andrea pendants can be hung in a row along a kitchen island at 600-800mm spacing to create a linked decorative feature.

The antique brass sphere is formed from pressed metal with a warm golden-brown patina that softens the reflectivity compared to polished brass or chrome finishes. The crystal band contains around 20 individual faceted crystals that catch and redirect light from the internal bulb, creating small patterns on nearby surfaces when lit. The pendant weighs 0.9kg, giving it a solid presence without needing reinforced ceiling fixings in typical plasterboard or solid ceilings.

What bulb does the Andrea take?

The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the antique brass tone.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming but both the bulb and the wall dimmer must be rated for LED if using LED bulbs.

What drop height works best over a dining table?

For a dining table, the base of the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface. With the Andrea's 190mm diameter, this means setting the cable at approximately 900-1000mm drop for a standard 750mm table height and 2400mm ceiling.

Can the crystals be cleaned?

Yes. Wipe the crystal band with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable. Avoid spraying cleaning products directly onto the crystal or brass as moisture can sit in the joins.
