Description

The Ambrosia is a 120x61cm rectangle wall mirror with a triple-edge mirrored frame that creates a bevelled surround around the central reflective panel. The frame is built from narrow mirrored strips set at angles to the main glass, catching and refracting light from different directions to add depth to the wall surface.

Designed for hallways, above console tables in entrance halls, and bedroom walls where a full-length or near-full-length mirror is needed, the Ambrosia works in spaces where the mirror itself becomes part of the wall composition rather than sitting inside a traditional frame. The 120cm width suits single or double console tables, while the 61cm height provides enough coverage for checking outfits without requiring floor-to-ceiling mounting.

The mirrored frame adds 3cm of depth from the wall once hung, giving the mirror a subtle three-dimensional presence without projecting far enough to risk contact in narrow hallways. The bevelled edges of both the central panel and the frame strips soften reflections and reduce the harsh edge that can occur with plain-cut mirror glass. The frame strips are set in a stepped pattern, with each layer slightly recessed from the one before, creating a gradient effect when light hits the surface.

What wall fixings are included?

Most Britannia Mirrors include D-rings or keyhole fixings on the back of the mirror. Check the packaging on arrival for specific wall plugs and screws suitable for your wall type. Plasterboard walls may need cavity fixings rated for the mirror weight.

The 120x61cm proportions make this a landscape (horizontal) mirror by design. Hanging it vertically would give a narrower, taller reflection that suits different applications, but check that the back fixings allow for vertical mounting before committing to that orientation.
