Amazing One of a Kind Legend Square Slate Coaster - Black

This square slate coaster packs a generous compliment into a small space, with a full message lettered in grey across its black face. The words mix bold capitals, flowing script and banner lettering, reading 'Amazing, fabulous and simply the best', then 'out of all the legends in this world', and finally 'You are one of a kind, totally awesome'. Little stars and scrolling flourishes fill the gaps between the lines, so the whole face reads like an old-fashioned printed badge. It measures 10cm along each side and 1cm deep, and its edges are left uneven and rugged, which gives each corner a little character against the flat dark face.

We think it makes a cheerful gift for anyone who deserves to hear how much they are valued, because the message says it all before the first cup is even poured. It earns its place on a desk at home or at work, on a bedside table, beside a favourite armchair or on the coffee table in the living room, giving a morning coffee or an evening drink somewhere proper to rest. The black face sits easily with most furniture, from warm wood to pale paint, and at 10cm square it is a tidy size that stays out of the way of a laptop, a book or the remote.

There is nothing to assemble or switch on: it simply lies flat wherever you set it down. To keep it looking its best, wipe the face with a soft damp cloth and dry it straight away, dust it with a soft dry cloth between uses and keep scouring pads well away, as they can scratch the surface. For a gift that is ready to use straight away, wrap it with a card or tuck it alongside a bag of good coffee, a favourite tea or a bottle of something special.
