Amano Small 5 Light Crystal Bar Pendant - Polished Chrome

The Amano Small is a 5 light crystal bar pendant built on a 630mm polished chrome rectangular bar, suspending five teardrop-shaped crystal elements on individual cables. Each crystal pendant houses a G9 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately), with the faceted crystal glass refracting light outward as sparkle and pattern. The chrome bar mounts flush to the ceiling, with the five cables dropping at adjustable lengths between 230mm minimum and 4500mm maximum.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and hallway runs where linear light distribution is needed, the 630mm bar suits island surfaces of 1.5-2m in length or dining tables seating 4-6. The five light positions spread evenly across the bar, providing directional task light directly beneath and ambient sparkle through the faceted crystal. The polished chrome finish gives a mirror-like reflection that pairs with contemporary interiors, stainless steel appliances and cooler colour schemes.

Each of the five crystal pendants drops on a separate cable, so the overall drop can be customised during installation to suit ceiling height and the surface below. The faceted crystal glass turns each G9 bulb into multiple points of refracted light, magnifying the perceived brightness and creating visual interest when viewed from angles. At 6.2kg total weight, the fitting requires a secure ceiling mounting and is not suitable for plasterboard ceilings without appropriate bracing.

What bulbs does it take?

The Amano Small takes five G9 capsule bulbs, each rated up to 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 2.5-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm white light suitable for dining and kitchen tasks.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself is dimmer-ready but requires dimmable lamps to function on a dimmed circuit.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 230mm means the fitting can work in rooms with ceiling heights as low as 2.4m when hung at full compression. For dining tables or kitchen islands, a typical drop of 700-900mm above the surface is standard, which requires ceiling heights of 2.7m or above for comfortable headroom.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by adjusting the cable length at the ceiling rose. Once fitted, the cables are fixed at that length and shortening them later requires partial disassembly of the ceiling mounting.
