Light from the G9 bulbs refracts through the faceted crystal surfaces and exits as scattered points of brightness across walls and ceilings.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallways with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Amano provides both task light and decorative accent. The 1200mm bar suits tables and islands between 1600-2000mm in length, with the five droplets spaced evenly at 240mm intervals. Maximum drop from ceiling to the base of the lowest crystal is 4500mm, adjustable on installation using the cable suspension system. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient daylight and artificial room light, amplifying brightness without adding visual weight.

Each crystal droplet measures approximately 140mm wide at its broadest point, tapering to narrow points at top and bottom. The smoked glass finish gives a grey-tinted transparency when the light is off, shifting to warm amber tones when the G9 bulbs are lit. The combined weight of 5.6kg includes the chrome bar, five crystals, and the suspension cables, requiring a ceiling fixing point rated for at least 10kg to provide margin. What bulbs does the Amano take?

The fitting takes five G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED G9 bulbs in 2700K-3000K warm white for dining areas and kitchen islands.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs. The fitting itself has no built-in dimming circuitry, so dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulbs chosen. Confirm the bulbs are rated as dimmable before pairing with a wall dimmer switch.

What table or island length does it suit?

The 1200mm bar works best over tables or islands between 1600-2000mm in length. For shorter surfaces the bar may overhang the ends; for longer surfaces multiple pendants or a different fixture may be needed.

What ceiling height is required?

The minimum drop from ceiling to the base of the crystal is 230mm, which suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights when the pendant is set to hang 700-800mm above a dining table surface. Higher ceilings can accommodate longer cable drops up to the 4500mm maximum.
