The Alor DSO-W is a round recessed spotlight that drops into the ceiling to give a clean, flush finish with no visible housing. It takes a single Gx5.3/GU10 lamp running an MR16 or PAR16 light source, rated up to 10W, and accepts either 12V AC, 12V DC or 220 to 240V mains depending on the lamp fitted. As a US-style recessed can or downlight trim, it directs a focused pool of light downward, with the exact spread set by the beam angle of the bulb you choose rather than the fitting itself.

Because the output depends on the lamp you select, this spotlight suits accent and directional jobs more than whole-room fill. It works well over a kitchen worktop, picking out a shelf or artwork, or grouped in a hallway or living room ceiling where several units together build the overall light level. The fitting has an overall trim diameter of Ø83mm and a shallow body depth of 33mm. You will need a matching recessed cut-out in the ceiling slightly smaller than the trim so the spring clips grip the board. Check your ceiling void allows the 33mm depth before cutting.

Which bulb does it take and is one included?
