Description
We stock the Alfa in white and black as a 10W LED recessed downlight for fitting flush into a ceiling. It has a white aluminium bezel around a black reflector cone, and the integrated LED gives 500 lumens of warm white light at 2700K through a 60 degree beam. The black cone recesses the light source and cuts side glare, so you see the pool of light on the floor or worktop rather than the fitting itself.
It suits kitchens, hallways and living spaces where you want neat, even downlight without a visible fixture. The 60 degree beam gives a moderately wide spread that works well as general room lighting when the downlights are spaced across a ceiling, or as accent light over a worktop or vanity. The 90 CRI rating renders colours accurately, which helps in kitchens, dressing areas and anywhere skin tones and finishes need to look true. It carries an IP20 rating, so it is for dry indoor ceilings only.
The body is aluminium, which helps the integrated 10W LED shed heat over its life. It runs on 220-240V AC mains at 50Hz and is wired in on a standard lighting circuit rather than plugged in, so it is best installed by a qualified electrician. This version is not dimmable, and it sits in Energy Class F. You will need a ceiling cutout and enough void above to house the body and driver.

Frequently Asked
Is this downlight dimmable?
No. This Alfa is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed brightness. If you need to vary the light level, choose a downlight rated as dimmable and pair it with a compatible dimmer.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
What colour and brightness of light does it give?
It gives 500 lumens of warm white light at 2700K through a 60 degree beam. The 90 CRI rating means colours look accurate under it, which suits kitchens, hallways and dressing areas.
How is it fitted?
It recesses into a ceiling cutout with the white bezel sitting flush and the black cone set back into the void. It wires into a mains lighting circuit at 220-240V, so we recommend a qualified electrician fits it.
