The Alexandra is a 600mm flush-mount crystal ceiling light built around a gold-plated metal frame housing nine E14 candle bulb fittings (sold separately). The fitting combines three tiers of crystal: an upper band of 40mm crystal spheres encircling the gold canopy, mid-tier hexagonal drops measuring 62mm in length, and a lower perimeter of tightly-packed crystal beads forming a continuous ring. Additional crystal strands run vertically through the interior, connecting the tiers and adding depth when viewed from below.

Designed for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights, the 250mm drop allows the Alexandra to function as a primary light source in dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls of 4m x 4m or larger. The 600mm diameter fills the ceiling plane without dominating smaller rooms, while the nine-bulb configuration provides adequate general lighting when paired with 6-8W LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K. The flush mounting sits directly against the ceiling rose, concealing all wiring behind the gold canopy.

The gold finish on the frame warms the light refracted through the crystal, giving an amber-toned sparkle rather than the cooler white sparkle of chrome or polished nickel fittings. Each crystal element is Asfour or Diyas-cut glass, machine-faceted for consistency across the 40mm spheres and 62mm hexagonal drops. The combined weight of the metal frame and crystal is 14.5kg, requiring secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced ceiling rose rated for the load. The fitting is dimmable when used with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer.

What bulbs does it take?

The Alexandra takes nine E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 6-8W LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for warm white light. The maximum rating is 60W per bulb but LEDs deliver equivalent brightness at far lower wattages.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 250mm drop from ceiling to lowest crystal sits well within the typical clearance for a 2.4m ceiling height. The flush mount design positions the fitting directly against the ceiling rather than hanging on a chain or rod.

Can the Alexandra be dimmed?

Yes, when used with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. The fitting itself does not contain dimming electronics — dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulbs chosen.

What room size does it suit?
