Alexandra 7 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Gold

The Alexandra is a 500mm flush crystal ceiling light with seven E14 bulb fittings arranged inside a gold frame, surrounded by 40mm crystal spheres on the upper tier and 62mm faceted hexagonal crystal drops below. A ring of tightly packed crystal beads encircles the lower section of the frame, and cascading strands of smaller beads fill the interior space between the lamp positions.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards where a traditional chandelier on a chain would hang too low, the Alexandra provides decorative crystal lighting in a flush-mount format. The 230mm projection from the ceiling suits dining rooms, living rooms, entrance halls and bedrooms where a central statement fitting is needed without occupying vertical space. The gold frame warms the light reflections and pairs with traditional, classical and warm-toned interiors.

The seven E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the crystal structure, so when lit the faceted drops and spheres refract the light into multiple directions across the ceiling and walls. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 LED or halogen bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing control from ambient background light to full brightness. At 10.7kg the Alexandra requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or suitable support — installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.

What bulbs does the Alexandra take?

The fitting takes seven E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED E14 candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for a warm glow through the crystal.

Is this suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 230mm projection from ceiling to lowest crystal drop makes the Alexandra suitable for standard UK ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. It provides decorative crystal lighting without the vertical drop of a traditional chandelier on chain suspension.

Is the Alexandra dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming, but you must use dimmable E14 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail when used with a dimmer.

How is the crystal maintained?

Dust the crystal drops and beads with a soft microfibre cloth or feather duster every few months. For deeper cleaning, individual drops can be removed, wiped with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, dried immediately, and re-hung. Avoid household sprays or polishes on the crystal.
