The Alexandra is a 420mm flush ceiling light with six E14 bulb fittings arranged around a gold-finished mounting plate, surrounded by tiers of Asfour and Diyas crystal. A beaded crystal ring forms the upper border, while 40mm crystal spheres and 62mm hexagonal crystal drops cascade below in a tapered formation, giving the fitting a total drop of 210mm from the ceiling.

Designed for rooms with lower ceilings or where a semi-flush profile is preferred, the Alexandra suits dining rooms, bedrooms and living rooms where ceiling heights of 2.2m to 2.6m make a full suspension chandelier impractical. The flush mounting plate sits close to the ceiling surface, keeping the bulk of the crystal within a compact vertical envelope. The six E14 bulbs (sold separately) illuminate the crystal from within, refracting light through the spheres and hexagonal drops.

The gold finish on the metal frame and mounting plate casts warm reflections when the bulbs are lit, amplifying the crystal's natural sparkle without the cooler tones of chrome or polished nickel. The 7.8kg weight includes both the metal structure and the full crystal dress, so the ceiling rose or mounting surface must be securely fixed to the ceiling joist. What bulbs does it take?

The Alexandra takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED E14 candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to complement the gold finish.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 210mm drop from ceiling to lowest crystal point suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above. In lower-ceilinged rooms the fitting may feel close to head height when standing directly beneath it, so consider positioning over a dining table or centred in a bedroom rather than in a circulation area.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Remove dust with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. For fingerprints or stubborn marks, dampen a cloth with distilled water and a drop of washing-up liquid, wipe each crystal piece gently, then dry immediately with a clean dry cloth to prevent water spots.
