Description

The Alemdina is a 15 light ceiling light built on a round steel ceiling plate in a chrome finish, with a tiered cascade of clear brilliant glass rods and chrome cylinder heads that narrows to a single head at the bottom. It is 49cm tall and 50cm in diameter, so it sits flush to the ceiling and reaches down far enough to fill the space beneath it. The light comes from integrated LEDs, fifteen lights at 2.6W and 246lm each, so there are no bulbs to buy. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

We would fit it at the centre of a dining room, living room, bedroom or hallway ceiling, where the glass rods pick up the light and scatter a sparkle across the room. Three colour temperatures let you match it to the space: 2200K gives a warm, candle-like glow for evenings, 3000K a warm white that suits living rooms and bedrooms, and 4000K a cooler, crisper white for a hallway or kitchen where you want to see clearly.
