Description

We stock the Albatre in brass as a linear alabaster wall light that pairs a natural stone bar with a brass frame. An integrated 18W LED sits behind the alabaster and gives 300 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, and the stone diffuses that light into an even wash rather than a hard point source. Because each bar is cut from natural alabaster, it carries its own mineral veining and tonal variation, so every fitting looks slightly different once it is lit.

This is the 800mm size in the range, sitting between the 400mm and 600mm versions, so it suits a longer run along a corridor, or above a headboard as reading light. We think it works well where you want horizontal wall lighting instead of a pendant or ceiling fixture, in bedrooms and hallways. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The frame carries a brass finish that adds a warm metallic tone at both ends, and it mounts flat to the wall via a rear plate. The LED runs on 220-240V AC mains at 50Hz and is not dimmable, so it stays at a fixed brightness. Colour rendering is 90 CRI, which is high enough for accurate colour in dressing areas, and the beam spreads across 180 degrees. The fitting measures 920mm across and is rated energy class G.

How is it fitted?

It mounts flat to the wall on a rear-mounted plate and wires into 220-240V AC mains at 50Hz. We would have it installed by a qualified electrician, and it is designed to sit horizontally on the wall.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated 18W LED is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed brightness of 300 lumens in warm white 3000K. There is no separate bulb to change, as the LED is built in.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. With 90 CRI it renders colour accurately for dressing and grooming.

How does this size compare to the others?

This is the 800mm version, and we also stock 400mm and 600mm sizes in the same brass alabaster range. The fitting itself measures 920mm across, so allow for that when planning where it goes.
