Alaris Rectangle Wall Mirror - Black Wood Frame

The Alaris is a 91 x 65cm rectangle wall mirror built around a matt black wood frame with twin silver inlay stripes running the full perimeter. The frame sits 3cm proud of the wall and the bevelled mirror glass inside sits flush with the inner edge of the frame, creating a defined border between the reflective surface and the black wood surround.

Designed as both a functional dressing mirror and a wall anchor in hallways, bedrooms and living rooms, the Alaris provides full head-and-shoulders reflection from 1.5m viewing distance and creates the perception of additional depth in narrower spaces. The 7-20kg weight requires two fixing points on the rear hardware, ideally into studs or solid wall with appropriate wall plugs for plasterboard. The matt black finish sits comfortably in contemporary, industrial and monochrome interiors without dominating adjacent furniture or wall colour.

The twin silver inlay stripes give the frame definition when viewed at an angle and catch ambient light to prevent the frame appearing as a flat black silhouette against darker walls. The wood frame is MDF with a matt black lacquer finish that resists fingerprints and minor scuffs. The bevelled edge on the mirror glass reduces the hard line where the silvered backing meets the frame and adds a subtle dimensional quality to the reflection.

How is the mirror mounted?

The Alaris has rear-mounted hanging hardware (D-rings or wire) requiring two fixing points on the wall. Given the 7-20kg weight, use wall plugs rated for the upper weight limit if fixing into plasterboard, or screw directly into timber studs where possible.

Can it be hung landscape or portrait?

The 91 x 65cm dimensions and rear hanging hardware suit portrait orientation as shown. Landscape orientation is possible but you will need to reposition the hanging points or use alternative fixings depending on the supplied hardware configuration.

Is the frame real wood or MDF?

The frame is MDF with a matt black lacquer finish. MDF provides dimensional stability and resists warping in centrally heated rooms better than solid timber at this price point.

How is the frame cleaned?

Wipe the matt black lacquer frame with a barely-damp microfibre cloth. For the mirror glass, use standard glass cleaner or a dilute vinegar solution on a lint-free cloth, avoiding overspray onto the black frame which can leave water marks on matt finishes.
