Description

The Agher is a rectangular bulkhead wall light in brass. Its louvred grille sits within a raised frame, with a screw at each corner, over a frosted diffuser, so the bulb stays out of sight behind the slats. It is a recessed fitting: the body sits 8.9cm into the wall and the face stands out just 1.7cm, so it lies close to flush. It is 12.6cm tall and 27.1cm wide. We offer it in Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass, Polished Brass or Satin Brass. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 25W. Bulbs are sold separately, so you choose the bulb that suits the room.

Rated IP54, the Agher is one we suggest for a bathroom as well as a bedroom, dining room or living room. Because it sits so close to the wall, it suits a spot where a projecting light would be in the way: either side of a bathroom mirror, along a dining room wall, or low beside a bed. The finishes let you match it to the room. Antique Brass has an aged look and Polished Brass is the brightest, with Satin Brass and Natural Brass in between. Antique Silver gives a cooler tone beside steel or chrome.

Each Agher is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass with plastic and glass. The louvred grille and framed surround give it the plain, practical look of a traditional bulkhead. It is a mains fitting, to be wired in by a qualified electrician. It needs a recess 8.9cm deep in the wall, so it is worth planning in early, before a wall is plastered or decorated, so the opening can be made cleanly and the light sits neatly in place.
