Description

The Aethera is a 65mm cube outdoor wall light finished in white, fitted with a single G9 bulb holder (bulb sold separately) and rated IP44 for outdoor use. Light projects downward from the base of the cube, creating a focused pool of illumination on the wall beneath and the ground directly below the fitting.

Designed for porches, doorways, patios and exterior walkways where compact, downward task lighting is needed without large fittings encroaching on the wall. The 80mm projection from the wall gives clearance for the G9 bulb to sit inside the cube housing without protruding. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making the Aethera suitable for sheltered outdoor locations such as under eaves, covered entrance areas and porch canopies.

The white powder-coated metal finish pairs with both traditional white render and contemporary timber cladding, blending into lighter-coloured exterior surfaces rather than contrasting against them. The fitting accepts any standard G9 halogen or LED bulb up to the rated maximum wattage, giving control over light output and colour temperature. The Aethera is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and a dimmable G9 bulb.

What bulb does the Aethera take?

The fitting takes a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 3-5W LED G9 bulb in 2700K-3000K warm white for porch and doorway lighting. Ensure the bulb is rated for enclosed fittings and does not exceed the maximum wattage stated in the installation instructions.

Can it be used in fully exposed outdoor locations?

The IP44 rating protects against splashing water but not direct heavy rain or submersion. The Aethera is best suited to sheltered locations such as under eaves, covered porches, or recessed doorways. Avoid mounting in positions where the fitting is directly exposed to driving rain.

Is the Aethera dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with a dimmable G9 bulb and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. Not all G9 LED bulbs dim smoothly, so check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before installation.

How is the fitting cleaned?

Switch off the power supply at the mains before cleaning. Wipe the white metal housing with a damp microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, which may damage the powder-coated finish.
