Description
The Adastra OD6-B8 is a pair of water resistant speakers built for panel mounting in damp and outdoor settings. Each unit uses a 16.5cm (6.5") woofer with a polypropylene cone, paired with a 5cm (2") tweeter with a mylar cone. This 2-way design runs through a built-in crossover, handling up to 100W maximum at 8 ohms. The speakers are supplied in pairs, so you have a matched set ready for a stereo or distributed install.
With an IP35 rating, the OD6-B8 copes with dust and splashing water, which makes it a sensible choice for swimming pools, bathrooms and marine applications. The plastic enclosure resists moisture, and a gasket is included to help seal the speaker against the mounting surface. The rated temperature range runs from -20 to 85°C, and humidity up to 95% is fine, so the speakers hold up across a wide spread of conditions.
Connection is made via 6mm spade terminals, and a fixing kit comes in the box to help with installation. The tweeter gives a dispersion angle of 140°, spreading sound across a wider area for PA and background music work. As part of the Adastra OD range, these speakers are aimed at installers who need reliable audio in places where standard indoor speakers would not last.
