Description

The Adastra 1U cable management channel is a 19" rack-mounted cable management solution with a steel blank plate and rear-mounted finger trunking. The slotted ducting runs the full 483mm width of the rack, with vertical finger slots spaced at regular intervals to guide patch cables, power leads and signal cables from the rear containment area forward through the plate to equipment mounted above or below.

Designed for AV installations, IT server racks and professional audio systems where multiple patch cables share a single rack enclosure, the 50mm deep containment holds a substantial cable run without forcing cables into tight bends or blocking airflow. The clip-on back plate fixes to the blank faceplate without tools, allowing the rear trunking to be removed for re-routing or maintenance without dismounting the faceplate from the rack.

The steel construction gives the unit sufficient rigidity to support bundled cable weight without warping when fully loaded, and the black powder-coat finish matches standard rack equipment faceplates. The unit occupies a single rack unit (1U, 44mm) of vertical space and mounts using standard M6 cage nuts or rack screws at the front mounting ears.

Frequently Asked

What rack size does it fit?

The channel fits standard 19" racks. It mounts using the front mounting ears with M6 cage nuts or rack screws, occupying 1U (44mm) of vertical rack space.

How much cable can it hold?

The 50mm deep trunking provides approximately 24,150mm³ of containment volume along the 483mm width. Practical capacity depends on cable diameter and bend radius, but most installations can route 10-20 patch cables through a single channel without forcing tight bends.

Can the back plate be removed after installation?

Yes. The finger trunking clips onto the rear of the faceplate and can be removed for cable re-routing or maintenance without removing the faceplate from the rack.

What's the spacing between the finger slots?

The slotted ducting features vertical finger slots at regular intervals across the width. Contact us for the exact slot spacing if you need to match specific patch panel port layouts.
