The Adare is a ceiling spotlight made of brass, with a fluted cylindrical head on a short jointed stem that drops from a round ceiling plate. The joint lets you angle the head, so you can point the light exactly where you want it. It is 18.95cm tall and 8.5cm across, a compact size for a ceiling. We offer it in Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black, Polished Brass or Satin Brass; the Matt Black is RAL 9005. It takes one GU10 bulb of up to 5W per bulb, and bulbs are sold separately, so you choose your own.

The Adare suits a kitchen, where one spotlight or a run of several can be turned to pick out a worktop, an open shelf or the dining table. Because each head angles on its own, you can set one towards the island and another towards a picture or a dresser. The fluted body gives a plain ceiling a little texture, and the five finishes let you match it to your cabinet handles or other fittings: Polished Brass and Satin Brass for gold tones, Antique Brass and Antique Silver for an older, softer look, or Matt Black for a crisp line against a pale ceiling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is an indoor fitting.

Every Adare is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass, with the finish you pick. It is a Class I fitting and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. When you plan a kitchen run, decide how many spotlights you need and which finish suits the room, then order them together in one finish, with a GU10 bulb of up to 5W for each.
