Description

Five E14 lamps sit within a shallow round frame of polished chrome, hung with clear crystal spheres that catch and scatter the light across the ceiling. At 46cm across it reads as a broad, low disc rather than anything that hangs, and the crystal gives it depth without adding drop. Lit, the spheres throw small points of brightness around the room; unlit, they sit quietly against the mirror shine of the metal.

It earns its place where headroom is tight and a chandelier would be in the way: hallways, landings, bedrooms, dressing rooms and dining rooms in flats with lower ceilings. We reach for it when someone wants the sparkle of crystal with nothing dropping into the room. Candle lamps in LED are what we would put in it, warm in tone to flatter the glass, and if you choose dimmable ones the light will run down to a low glow on a dimmer. It is wired for an ordinary household mains supply and belongs in dry rooms indoors.

The frame is metal, plated and polished to a chrome finish, with the crystal spheres held close across the face so it reads as a bright whole rather than a cluster of separate lamps. Keep it right by switching off at the wall, letting the fitting cool, then running a clean dry duster over the spheres; fingerprints on the chrome lift with a barely damp cloth and a dry buff after. Nothing here wants polish or spray cleaner. It carries a one year warranty. The same round design comes in antique brass if chrome feels too cool for the room, and there is a square version hung with prism crystal instead of spheres, plus matching wall lights. Lamps are not included.
