Description
The Abbey is an 85x60cm rectangle wall mirror framed in wood finished in a mid-tone grey, with a decorative scroll pattern moulded into the frame border. The frame sits 2.5cm proud of the wall and provides a continuous border around the mirror glass, giving the piece a defined edge against painted or papered walls.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living rooms where a full-length or upper-body reflection is needed, the Abbey hangs vertically in portrait orientation. The 85cm height captures head-to-knee when mounted at typical picture-rail height, or full-length when the mirror is positioned lower on the wall. The 60cm width suits single-person use and fits comfortably on walls between 90cm and 150cm wide without overwhelming the space.
The grey finish on the wood frame provides a neutral base that pairs with both warm and cool interior palettes, sitting comfortably alongside white walls, exposed brick, and painted woodwork in grey, taupe or soft green tones. The scroll pattern in the frame border adds texture without the weight of heavier ornamental frames, giving the mirror a subtle decorative accent rather than a statement presence. At 7-20kg depending on glass thickness, the mirror requires two wall fixings and is not suitable for plasterboard-only mounting without additional support.

Frequently Asked
What wall fixings are needed?
The mirror weighs between 7kg and 20kg depending on glass thickness, so it requires two wall fixings rated for the full weight. On solid masonry walls, use two heavy-duty picture hooks or mirror plates with wall plugs and screws. On plasterboard, use plasterboard anchors or toggle fixings, or mount through the plasterboard into wall studs.
Can it be hung horizontally?
The Abbey is designed for vertical portrait orientation. The frame fixings on the back are typically positioned for vertical hanging. Hanging it horizontally would require different fixing positions and may not distribute the weight correctly.
What height should it be mounted at?
For use as a dressing mirror showing head-to-knee reflection, mount the bottom edge 60-80cm above floor level. For a full-length reflection, position the bottom edge 20-40cm above floor level, depending on the height of the person using it.
How is the frame cleaned?
Wipe the grey wood frame with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks or fingerprints, use a barely-damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not use furniture polish or chemical cleaners, as these can discolour the grey finish over time.
