Description

The Knightsbridge LDGL9 is a 9W LED recessed ground light with a 160mm diameter 304 stainless steel bezel set flush into paving, tarmac or concrete. The integrated CoB LED delivers 610 lumens of 3000K warm white light through a clear prismatic diffuser, with a 100° beam angle that spreads light outward from the installation point rather than creating a tight spot.

Designed for driveways, pathways, patio perimeters and garden lighting, the fitting carries an IP65 rating against dust and water jets, and is rated to withstand vehicular loading up to 800kg at a maximum speed of 5mph when installed correctly in its supplied plastic mounting sleeve within tarmac or concrete. The 88mm recessed depth sits within a 138mm cut-out (144mm with the sleeve fitted), with only 4mm of the stainless steel bezel projecting above the finished surface once installed.

The aluminium housing and plastic mounting sleeve are supplied with a 2m outdoor-rated flex for connecting to mains supply, and the fitting requires a 230V 50Hz supply with earth connection (Class I). The CoB LED is non-dimmable and rated for 50,000 hours (L70B50), which equates to approximately 17 years of use at 8 hours per day. The low surface temperature during operation makes the fitting safe for pedestrian traffic in outdoor and indoor applications.

Yes, when installed correctly using the supplied plastic mounting sleeve in tarmac or concrete, the fitting is rated for vehicle loads up to 800kg at a maximum speed of 5mph. This makes it suitable for domestic driveways where cars are manoeuvring slowly.

What's the installation depth required?

The fitting requires an 88mm recessed depth below the finished surface level, with a cut-out diameter of 144mm when using the supplied mounting sleeve. Only 4mm of the stainless steel bezel sits proud of the surface once installed.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated CoB LED is non-dimmable and operates on standard 230V 50Hz mains supply. Attempting to use a dimmer may damage the driver circuit.

What does the IP65 rating mean?

IP65 means the fitting is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for outdoor use in driveways, pathways and patios where it will be exposed to rain, hose cleaning and surface water.
