This 9.6V 2200mAh nickel-cadmium battery provides backup power for emergency lighting systems, configured as a direct replacement for Duceri EM9WNMSPOT2 and EMD9WNMSPOT2 emergency fittings. The battery pack consists of eight sub-C NiCd cells wired in parallel to deliver 9.6V nominal output at 2200mAh capacity, with quick-connect terminals and pre-wired harness for installation.

Designed for commercial emergency lighting applications where EN 60598 and EN 50172 compliance is required, the battery fits within standard emergency lighting housings and provides runtime sufficient to meet UK Building Regulations minimum three-hour emergency duration requirements. The parallel cell configuration balances current draw across cells, extending service life in installations where the emergency fitting cycles frequently.

The nickel-cadmium chemistry tolerates repeated charge-discharge cycles better than lead-acid alternatives, making it suitable for systems that self-test weekly or monthly.
