Description
The Knightsbridge 8-gang grid faceplate is a 146.5mm square brushed chrome cover plate designed to house two 4-module grid frames (sold separately as GDF002F). The faceplate provides eight apertures arranged in a 2x4 configuration, allowing you to build a modular switching or socket arrangement using Knightsbridge grid modules such as switches, dimmers, sockets, TV/data outlets and USB ports.
Designed for residential and commercial installations where multiple switching or outlet functions are needed at a single location, the grid system allows flexibility to configure the exact combination of modules required rather than being limited to fixed multi-gang plates. The faceplate accepts any Knightsbridge 20mm grid module, so you can mix light switches, dimmer controls, data sockets and USB charging in one unified plate.
The brushed chrome finish has a directional grain texture that softens reflections and coordinates with the Knightsbridge Rounded Edge range of switches and sockets. The rounded edge profile sits 7.5mm proud of the wall once fitted, giving a slightly more substantial presence than flat plates. Premium-grade steel construction provides rigidity and prevents warping over time, even when fully loaded with modules. The faceplate requires a standard 25mm back box depth and is rated IP20 for dry indoor use.

Frequently Asked
What grid frames are needed?
This faceplate requires two GDF002F 4-module grid frames to hold the modules in place. The frames clip into the back of the faceplate and are fixed to the back box. Grid modules then clip into the frames.
Can I use modules from other manufacturers?
No. This faceplate is designed for use with Knightsbridge 20mm grid modules only. Modules from other grid systems may have different spacing or fitment and are not compatible.
What back box depth is required?
A standard 25mm minimum back box depth is needed. Deeper boxes (35mm or 47mm) can be used if wiring space is needed behind multiple modules with cables.
What other finishes are available in the Rounded Edge range?
Knightsbridge produces the Rounded Edge range in polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, antique brass, matt black and white. Use the search or filter functions to find grid faceplates in other finishes at Niori.
