Description
The Knightsbridge 7W GU10 LED bulb delivers 755 lumens of 4000K cool white light through a 36° beam angle, replacing traditional 50-60W halogen GU10s in recessed downlights, track lighting and spotlight fittings. The bulb uses SMD LED technology behind a prismatic diffuser inside a white polycarbonate body measuring 50mm diameter by 57mm height.
Designed for residential and commercial downlighting where dimming control is required, the bulb is compatible with most trailing edge dimmers but should be tested with the specific dimmer model before full installation. The 4000K colour temperature sits in the cool white band, providing clear, neutral illumination suited to kitchens, bathrooms, offices and task lighting applications where colour rendering accuracy matters. The CRI rating of >80 ensures colours appear natural under the light.
The 7W power draw replaces 50-60W halogen equivalents while delivering comparable brightness, reducing energy consumption by approximately 85-88% per fitting. The L70B50 rating of 25,000 hours indicates the bulb will maintain at least 70% of its original brightness for 25,000 operating hours under typical domestic use patterns. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations; for bathroom zones or outdoor use, an IP44 or higher rated bulb is required.

Frequently Asked
Is this bulb dimmable?
Yes, the bulb is compatible with most trailing edge dimmers. Dimmer compatibility varies by manufacturer and model, so test the bulb with your specific dimmer before installing across multiple fittings. Leading edge dimmers may cause flickering or buzzing.
What halogen wattage does this replace?
The 755 lumens output is comparable to a 50-60W halogen GU10. The 7W LED draws approximately 85-88% less power than the halogen equivalent while delivering similar brightness.
Can this be used in bathroom downlights?
The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations outside bathroom zones. For bathroom ceiling downlights in zones 1 or 2, or any location where moisture exposure is likely, use an IP44 or IP65 rated GU10 bulb instead.
What is the colour temperature like?
4000K sits in the cool white band, providing neutral, clear light that appears whiter and more clinical than warm white (2700-3000K). It suits task lighting, kitchens, bathrooms and commercial spaces where clarity is prioritised over warmth.
