Description
The Knightsbridge 7W GU10 dimmable LED bulb delivers 720 lumens of warm white light at 3000K through a 36° beam angle, designed to replace halogen GU10 spotlights in downlights, track lighting and wall-mounted spotlights. The polycarbonate body houses SMD LED technology with a prismatic diffuser that softens the beam edge and reduces glare compared to clear-lens GU10s.
Suited to kitchens, living rooms, hallways and commercial installations where directional accent or task lighting is needed, the 36° beam provides focused light without excessive spill. The bulb fits standard GU10 twist-and-lock sockets on 230V mains and operates on most trailing edge dimmers, allowing brightness adjustment from full output down to approximately 10% depending on the dimmer model used.
The 7W power draw replaces traditional 50-60W halogen GU10s at equivalent brightness, while the 25,000-hour L70B50 rating means the bulb retains at least 70% of its initial brightness after 25,000 hours of use. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white tone comparable to halogen, warmer than daylight (4000K+) and cooler than traditional incandescent (2700K). CRI >80 ensures colour rendering suitable for residential and retail applications.

Frequently Asked
Is this bulb dimmable?
Yes. The bulb is compatible with most trailing edge dimmers. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model and load, so test the bulb with your dimmer before purchasing multiple units. Leading edge dimmers may cause flicker or reduced dimming range.
What wattage halogen bulb does this replace?
The 7W LED output of 720 lumens is comparable to a 50-60W halogen GU10. The exact halogen equivalent depends on the halogen bulb's efficiency, but most users find the 7W LED matches or exceeds the brightness of their previous 50W halogens.
Can this bulb be used in bathrooms?
The IP20 rating means the bulb is not protected against moisture ingress. It can be used in bathroom zones outside the designated wet zones (Zone 0, 1, 2), typically ceiling downlights positioned more than 60cm horizontally from a bath or shower enclosure.
What is the beam angle and where does it suit?
The 36° beam provides a focused spotlight effect. This suits accent lighting (highlighting artwork, architectural features), task lighting (kitchen worktops, reading corners) and general downlighting where multiple bulbs are spaced to overlap coverage. Wider beam angles (60°+) suit general ambient lighting with fewer fittings.
