Description

The Knightsbridge 6W LED shaver light combines a 494mm illuminated mirror light with a dual voltage shaver socket housed in a single white polycarbonate unit. The integrated 6W S15 LED tube provides 450 lumens of warm white light at 3000K through a prismatic diffuser, while the shaver socket accepts both 115V and 230V electric shavers and toothbrushes.

Designed for bathroom mirror installation above sinks and vanity units, the fitting measures 494mm wide by 59mm high with a 70mm projection from the wall. The dual voltage socket eliminates the need for a separate adaptor when using shavers rated for different voltages, while the prismatic diffuser spreads the LED output evenly across the mirror face. The IP20 rating makes this suitable for bathroom zones 3 and beyond, away from direct water spray.

The white polycarbonate housing resists moisture and bathroom cleaning products better than painted metal, and the Class II double-insulated construction removes the need for an earth connection during installation. The S15 LED tube is included and rated for 25,000 hours at L70B50, meaning the light output remains above 70% of initial brightness for around 25,000 hours of use. The light is not dimmable.

What voltages does the shaver socket accept?

The dual voltage socket accepts both 115V and 230V rated shavers and electric toothbrushes, removing the need for a separate voltage adaptor.

Can this be used in a bathroom shower area?

No. The IP20 rating makes this suitable for bathroom zones 3 and beyond only, meaning it must be installed at least 2.4m from the edge of a bath or shower tray and away from direct water spray.

Is the LED tube replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses a standard S15 LED tube. The included 6W tube is rated for 25,000 hours, but can be replaced when it reaches end of life. Replacement S15 LED tubes are available separately.

How is it mounted?

The fitting mounts horizontally above a mirror via two keyhole slots on the rear of the housing. It requires a mains electrical connection and should be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with Part P Building Regulations.
