Description
The Knightsbridge 6-gang grid faceplate is a 146.5mm square premium-grade steel plate with a brushed chrome finish and rounded edges, designed to house six modular grid switches or sockets. The plate accepts two GDF002F 3-gang grid frames (sold separately), which in turn hold any combination of Knightsbridge grid modules — light switches, dimmer modules, data ports, or socket outlets.
Designed for commercial, hospitality and residential installations where multiple controls or outlets need consolidating onto a single wall plate, the grid system allows custom configurations without needing separate faceplates for each function. The brushed chrome finish coordinates with Knightsbridge's Rounded Edge range, giving consistent wall furniture across switches, sockets and grid assemblies within the same room or building.
The 7.5mm projection from the wall keeps the plate shallow enough for installation in tight spots, and the rounded edge profile softens the visual impact on plain walls. The steel construction and brushed finish resist fingerprinting better than polished chrome, which matters in high-touch environments like hotel corridors, reception areas and shared office spaces. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

Frequently Asked
What grid frames are needed?
This faceplate requires two GDF002F 3-gang grid frames (sold separately). Each frame holds three grid modules, allowing six modules total across the plate.
What modules can be fitted?
Any Knightsbridge grid module — light switches, dimmer modules, RJ45 data ports, HDMI sockets, USB sockets, or blank modules. Mix and match modules on the same plate to create custom control panels.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations outside bathroom zones. It cannot be installed within reach of a bath, shower or basin.
What back box is needed?
A 25mm minimum depth back box is required, with appropriate fixing centres to suit the 146.5mm square faceplate. The grid frames fix to the back box first, then the faceplate screws onto the frames.
