The Knightsbridge 6-gang grid faceplate is a 149mm square brushed chrome cover plate that accommodates six modular grid inserts arranged in two rows of three. The plate works exclusively with Knightsbridge's grid system, where switches, sockets, dimmers, and data modules clip into a separate grid frame (sold separately) behind the faceplate.

Designed for commercial and residential installations where multiple functions need to be grouped in a single wall location, the grid system allows customised switch and socket configurations without needing separate faceplates for each function. Common applications include behind kitchen worktops, media walls, office desks, and hotel rooms where power, USB, data, satellite, and lighting control need to be concentrated in one location. The 6-gang configuration requires two GDF002F grid frames (sold separately) mounted side-by-side in a dual back box.

The faceplate is made from premium-grade steel with a brushed chrome finish that matches Knightsbridge's Square Edge range. The brushed surface diffuses reflections and minimises visible fingerprints compared to polished chrome. At 10.5mm projection from the wall, the faceplate sits flush with standard plasterboard once installed. The plate is screw-fixed to the grid frame, with the screw heads visible at the four corners after installation.

This 6-gang faceplate requires two GDF002F grid frames (sold separately), each accommodating three grid modules. The frames mount side-by-side in a dual back box before the faceplate is screwed on top.

Yes. The Knightsbridge grid system allows any combination of grid-compatible switches, sockets, dimmers, USB modules, data outlets, satellite connectors, and blanking plates to be installed behind the same faceplate.

Is this faceplate screwless?

No. This is a screw-fixed faceplate with visible screw heads at the four corners once installed. Knightsbridge produces screwless alternatives in other ranges, but the grid system uses screw-fixed plates for structural stability when holding multiple modules.
