Description
The Knightsbridge 4-gang modular faceplate is a polished chrome flat plate designed to accept euro module inserts for TV, HDMI, USB, data and telephone connections. The plate accepts four 25 x 50mm modules, two 50 x 50mm modules, or any combination of both sizes, allowing custom AV and data installations to be built from individual insert modules.
Designed for home theatre installations, office workstations and hospitality applications where multiple connection types are needed at a single wall point, the faceplate removes the need for multiple separate wall plates. The 2.5mm projection from the wall creates an ultra-low profile that sits almost flush with the surface once installed, helped by the built-in gasket that seals the faceplate edges to the wall without visible gaps.
The polished chrome finish is manufactured from premium-grade steel and provides a bright reflective surface that pairs with both modern and traditional interiors. The earth terminal behind the plate allows grounding of shielded data cables and metal module housings where required. The back box depth needed depends on the specific euro modules being fitted — HDMI and USB modules typically need 25mm, while deeper modules for patch panels or certain data sockets may need 35mm or more.

Frequently Asked
What modules fit this faceplate?
The plate accepts standard euro modules in 25 x 50mm or 50 x 50mm formats. This includes HDMI, USB, CAT5e/CAT6 data, coaxial TV, telephone, satellite, audio speaker and other modular inserts that follow the euro module standard. Knightsbridge and other manufacturers produce compatible modules.
What back box depth is required?
The faceplate itself projects only 2.5mm from the wall, but the back box depth depends on the euro modules being fitted. Typical HDMI and USB modules need 25mm minimum, while deeper modules such as keystone patch panels or certain data sockets may need 35mm or more. Check the specification of the modules you plan to use.
Can I mix different module sizes?
Yes. The 4-gang aperture can accept four 25 x 50mm modules, two 50 x 50mm modules, or one 50 x 50mm module plus two 25 x 50mm modules. This flexibility allows custom configurations to suit your installation needs.
Is the faceplate screwless?
No. This is a traditional screw-fixed flat plate with visible fixing screws at each side. The screws are part of the design and hold the plate directly to the back box. Knightsbridge also produces screwless versions in other ranges where the cover clips onto a sub-frame.
