Description

The Knightsbridge 4-gang modular faceplate provides a blank gunmetal plate with four apertures sized to accept euro module inserts, allowing custom configurations of HDMI, USB, RJ45 data, coaxial TV, phone, audio and other AV/data connections on a single wall plate. The plate is constructed from premium-grade steel with a gunmetal powder-coated finish and measures 147.5mm wide by 87.5mm high, fitting standard double-gang back boxes.

Designed for residential AV installations, home offices, conference rooms and hotel rooms where multiple connection types need to be grouped at a single wall location, the faceplate accepts up to four 25mm x 50mm euro modules, or two 50mm x 50mm modules, or a mix of both sizes. Common configurations include HDMI + USB + dual RJ45 for a desk wall, or dual HDMI + coaxial TV + satellite for a TV wall. The euro modules are purchased separately and clip into the apertures from the front once the faceplate is fixed to the back box.

The flat plate design projects just 2.5mm from the wall once installed, giving a low-profile finish that sits nearly flush with the plaster. A built-in gasket on the rear of the plate forms a seal against the wall surface, reducing dust ingress and improving the IP20 rating. The gunmetal finish is a dark grey-brown metallic tone that pairs with industrial, contemporary and minimalist interiors, and coordinates with Knightsbridge's gunmetal switch and socket ranges for consistent room styling.

The faceplate accepts any standard euro module sized 25mm x 50mm or 50mm x 50mm. Common modules include HDMI, USB, RJ45 (Cat5e/Cat6), coaxial TV, F-type satellite, 3.5mm audio, XLR, speaker binding posts and phone. Modules are sold separately and clip into the apertures from the front.

What back box is required?

A standard 35mm double-gang back box is needed for installation. The minimum depth depends on the euro modules being used — shallow modules like HDMI or USB typically need 25-35mm, while some RJ45 keystone modules may need 47mm. Check the module specifications before selecting a back box.

Can I mix different module sizes?

Yes. The faceplate accepts up to four 25mm x 50mm modules, or two 50mm x 50mm modules, or a combination of both. For example, one 50mm x 50mm HDMI module and two 25mm x 50mm USB modules is a common configuration.
