Description

The Knightsbridge LUMI6060PRODALI is a 30W backlit LED panel designed to retrofit standard 600x600mm modular ceiling grids in offices, schools, retail and commercial spaces. The panel measures 595x595mm and sits 25mm deep in the grid, with a white aluminium frame and a prismatic diffuser rated UGR19 to minimise glare on desk surfaces and screens.

The integrated LED array offers selectable colour temperature via DIP switches on the driver: 3000K warm white (3940lm), 4000K neutral white (4100lm), or 5700K cool white (3945lm). This allows the installer to match the light output to the room's purpose — warmer tones for hospitality and breakout areas, cooler tones for task-intensive environments. The panel supports both DALI2 digital control and switch-dim functionality, giving compatibility with building management systems and manual dimmer switches.

The backlit design places the LEDs behind the diffuser rather than edge-mounted, providing uniform illumination across the full 600x600mm surface without visible hotspots. The panel carries IP40 ingress protection and Class II double-insulated construction, requiring no earth connection. Rated L70B50 at 50,000 hours, the panel delivers 70% of initial lumen output after approximately 11 years of continuous operation at 12 hours per day.

Optional accessories (sold separately) include emergency backup modules, surface-mount frames for solid ceilings, and suspension kits for open-grid installations. The 230V 50Hz driver is integrated within the 9mm projection behind the ceiling plane, leaving minimal intrusion into the void space above the grid.

How is the colour temperature selected?

The panel uses DIP switches on the integrated driver to select 3000K, 4000K or 5700K. This is set during installation by the electrician before the panel is fitted into the ceiling grid. Once installed, the colour temperature remains fixed until the panel is removed and the switches are adjusted.

What is UGR19 and why does it matter?

UGR (Unified Glare Rating) measures how much discomfort glare a luminaire produces. UGR19 is the recommended maximum for office and education environments with screen-based work. The prismatic diffuser on this panel keeps glare low enough to meet BS EN 12464 standards for task lighting.

Can this panel be dimmed?

Yes. The panel supports DALI2 digital dimming when connected to a DALI control system, and also supports switch-dim functionality where the panel is dimmed by turning the mains power on and off in sequence. Both methods are compatible with the integrated driver.

Does the panel include an emergency backup?

No. Emergency backup modules are available as optional accessories (sold separately) and are fitted by the installer during the wiring stage. Contact us for compatible emergency kits if required for building regulation compliance.
