3 Light IP44 Bathroom Bar Spotlight - Polished Chrome

The Knightsbridge 3-light IP44 bathroom bar spotlight mounts three individually adjustable GU10 spotlight heads on a 460mm polished chrome bar. Each head rotates 350° on its mount and tilts 90° from horizontal to vertical, allowing light to be directed to specific areas of a bathroom, kitchen or utility room. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3.

Designed for ceiling or wall mounting above bathroom mirrors, kitchen worktops and task areas where directed light is needed, the bar installs via a backplate fixed to a standard ceiling rose or wall mounting point. The three heads can be angled independently to light different zones — one aimed at a mirror, another at a shower enclosure, the third providing general ceiling wash. Each head accepts a GU10 bulb up to 20W (bulbs sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or other GU10-compatible lamp types.

The polished chrome finish on the bar and spotlight heads provides a high-gloss reflective surface that pairs with chrome taps, shower fittings and bathroom accessories. The pressed steel construction with clear glass lenses keeps the weight manageable for standard plasterboard ceilings, and the Class I earthed design ensures safe operation in wet environments when correctly installed by a qualified electrician. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific GU10 bulb chosen — most LED GU10 bulbs are dimmable when paired with an LED-compatible dimmer.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes the fitting suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, which covers most bathroom ceiling and wall positions except directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure. It must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations for bathroom electrical installations.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes three GU10 bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED GU10 bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for bathroom task lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific GU10 bulb you choose. Most LED GU10 bulbs are dimmable when paired with an LED-compatible dimmer switch. Halogen GU10 bulbs are generally dimmable with standard trailing-edge dimmers.

Can the heads be adjusted after installation?
