Description

The Knightsbridge 3-light bathroom spotlight mounts three adjustable G9 fittings on a matt black pressed-steel ceiling plate, each with a frosted glass diffuser. The IP44 rating makes the fitting suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, where moisture resistance is required but direct water contact is not expected.

Designed for bathrooms, shower rooms and en-suites where directed task lighting is needed over mirrors, vanity units or shower enclosures, each spotlight head tilts 90° and rotates 350° independently. This allows the three beams to be positioned where needed rather than fixed in a single direction. The 246mm diameter ceiling plate suits standard UK ceiling roses and the 122mm projection keeps the heads clear of walls when mounted near corners or alcoves.

The frosted glass diffusers soften the light output from each G9 bulb, reducing glare when the fittings are positioned at eye level or directed towards reflective surfaces such as bathroom mirrors and tiles. The matt black finish on the pressed-steel construction absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, keeping the fitting visually quiet against darker walls or ceilings. Each fitting takes a G9 bulb up to 25W (sold separately), with dimmer compatibility dependent on the bulb chosen.

What does IP44 mean and where can this be fitted?

IP44 means the fitting is protected against splashing water from any direction. This makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (areas outside the shower enclosure and more than 60cm from the bath edge). It should not be fitted directly inside a shower cubicle or within 60cm of a bath or basin tap.

What bulbs does it take?

Each spotlight takes a G9 capsule bulb up to 25W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 3-5W G9 LED bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for bathroom task lighting. The fitting is compatible with both halogen and LED G9 bulbs.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen. If you fit dimmable G9 LED bulbs and pair them with an LED-compatible dimmer switch, the fitting can be dimmed. Standard non-dimmable G9 LEDs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

Can the spotlight heads be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Each head tilts 90° and rotates 350° on its mounting point, allowing the light direction to be adjusted at any time without rewiring or removing the fitting. This is useful for repositioning the beams as bathroom layouts or mirror placements change.
