Description

The Knightsbridge 3-gang grid faceplate provides a polished chrome finish and rounded edge profile for custom grid installations. Constructed from premium grade steel, the faceplate measures 146.5mm wide by 85.75mm high and projects 7.5mm from the wall when fitted. The faceplate accepts three grid modules and must be used with one GDF002F fixing frame (sold separately).

Designed for commercial, hospitality and residential installations where modular switching and socket configurations are needed, the grid system allows multiple switches, sockets, dimmers and data modules to be combined behind a single faceplate. The polished chrome finish coordinates with Knightsbridge's Rounded Polished Chrome switches and sockets range, providing a consistent metallic accent across an installation.

The rounded edge profile softens the transition between the wall and the faceplate, creating a less angular appearance than standard flat-edge plates. The steel construction gives the faceplate rigidity and prevents flexing or warping during installation or removal, and the polished chrome finish is applied to resist tarnishing and maintain its reflective surface over time. The IP20 rating suits dry internal locations including living rooms, bedrooms, offices and commercial spaces.

What modules does this faceplate accept?

The 3-gang grid faceplate accepts three standard Knightsbridge grid modules of any type — switches, sockets, dimmers, data modules, blanks — allowing you to build a custom configuration. The modules clip into the GDF002F fixing frame behind the faceplate.

What fixing frame is required?

This faceplate requires one Knightsbridge GDF002F fixing frame, which mounts to the back box and holds the grid modules. The fixing frame is sold separately and is essential for installation — the faceplate cannot be fitted without it.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means this faceplate is suitable only for dry internal locations. It is not rated for use in bathrooms, wet rooms or other damp environments. For those applications, select an IP-rated enclosed accessory instead.
